INEC saved Wike from monumental disgrace – Ex-Commissioner
The suspension of electoral processes in Rivers State
has been described as “a postponement of disgrace” for Rivers State Governor,
Nyesom Wike.
A former commissioner for Transport in the state and
leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bonny Local Government Area,
George Tolofari said Wike’s defeat was only postponed, noting that whenever the
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) fixes the rescheduled election
in the state, his defeat would completed.
Tolofari, who is also the caucus leader of the APC in
Rivers State, condemned the purported invasion of the collation centre at
Obio/Akpor LGA by the Governor assisted by security operatives from Government
House to cart away election result sheets.
He warned INEC not to accept the purported concocted
results from Wike, which were allegedly written inside Government House, Port
Harcourt.
“Should INEC accept those concocted results they
would robbed Rivers people of their mandate to Awara Biokpomabo, the AAC
candidate. You must have heard that results from various local governments
indicate that he was leading comfortably.”
“Rivers people have rejected Nyesom Wike and his
directionless government which has no purpose or plan for the betterment of the
people of the state. The reality of this whole thing is that for Rivers people
to vote for a completely unknown candidate shows how deep their desire to do
away with Wike.”
