UNBELIEVABLE!!! I Am A Man Of Honour, Not Like Senator Andrew Uchendu - Senator Magnus Abe To Supporters In Bonny Island

The Senator representing Rivers South East in the Senate, Senator Magnus Abe says he can be trusted with the office of Governor of Rivers State.

He further stated that he was ready for the position and the 2019 gubernatorial  election that would usher him into the office.

Senator Abe, who said this when he visited Bonny Local Government Area at the weekend, distinguished himself from the character of the Senator representing Rivers East, Senator Andrew Uchendu.

The Gokana born former Secretary to the State Government, has been embroiled in an unending power tussle with the Minister of Transport Minister, Rotimi Amaechi, over who controls the State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

"I am not like Andrew Uchendu who stood before the Etche people and said he would  only run for one term. But as soon as he heard there will be indirect primaries and he has the support of the leader of the party, he went back to the secretariat and bought form for Senate which he knows is against the promise that he made to the Etche people," he declared.

Senator Abe, accompanied by the House of Representatives member representing Ikwerre/Emohua federal constituency, Hon. Chidi Wihioka, former House of Assembly member representing Bonny constituency, Hon. Aye Pepple, former Commissioner for Culture, Frederick Tolofari, among other party chieftains, addressed his supporters drawn from the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the area.

Senator Abe had recently inaugurated a parallel secretariat for the party at Waterlines junction and appointed a former Deputy Chairman of the APC in the State, Chief Peter Odike as Chairman of his faction of the APC.
Senator Abe also took a swipe

at a former guber candidate of the Labour Party in the State, Prince Tonye Princewill, describing him as "a small boy".

"After we bought the form and took a picture with the National Organizing Secretary, my friend Prince Tonye Princewill was posting on Facebook and everywhere that I bought two forms. He said I bought one for Senate and I bought one for Governor”.

"I don't want to talk to Tonye. He is a junior to me. It's not everything that you respond to. He has my phone number. If he wanted to know which form I bought he could've called me and asked me and I would've told him. But I will like to say, a Prince should not just be Prince by name. He should be princely in his conduct."

He debunked insinuations that he bought both governorship and senatorial forms, stressing that he was prepared for the governorship election and that alone.

Curiously, Senator Magnus Abe visited the House of Representatives member representing Degema/Bonny, Hon. Randolph Brown but avoided his party chieftains, many of whom were in town to attend the funeral of late Madam Bridget Taba Brown, Hon. Brown's deceased elder sister.
