The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
for the Degema/Bonny federal constituency in the 2019 elections, Fubara Hart
has praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the smooth
conduct of the governorship and House of Assembly elections in Bonny Local
Government Area.
Hart, a former Permanent Secretary in the State
Government, was denied the opportunity to contest alongside all other
candidates of the APC in Rivers State as the courts ruled against the conduct
of the party’s congresses and primaries.
He, who told Kristina Reports that he voted in Unit
1, Ward 9 earlier in the day, described the election process as “very apt, very
apt”.
“We voted peacefully. The process was very apt, very
apt. I congratulate INEC for very good job. They have done marvelously well
this time around,” he said.
The APC chieftain expressed satisfaction with the
electoral process and large turnout of voters during the exercise.
“I am satisfied. The turnout was so encouraging, we
have never had it like this before”.
He also commended the various political actors for
conducting themselves well during the exercise, noting that “all the major
players comported themselves”.
