SDP bids resigned Presidential Campaign DG, Prof. Iyorwuese Hagher farewell
The Presidential
Campaign Council (PCC) of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) says it was
grateful to the Director General of its Presidential Campaign Council (PCC),
Professor Iyorwuese Hagher, who just resigned his appointment.
The party thanked him
for his services and wished him well in his future endeavours.
In a statement signed by
the party’s Presidential Spokesperson, Rufai Ladipo, the SDP said it “received
the news of the resignation from office of the Director-General of our
Presidential Campaign Council, Prof. Iyorwuese Hagher”.
“We thank
Prof. Hagher for the services he rendered in his capacity as the
Director-General of the SDP PCC until his resignation and we wish him well in
his future endeavours.”
“We assure our teeming
supporters nationwide that there is no cause for alarm as Prof Hagher only
resigned his position on personal ground. The campaign train will continue its
movement at the appropriate time.”
“For the avoidance of
doubt, the national leadership of the SDP has appealed the judgement of a
Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court on the miscarriage of justice and
subversion of the will of majority of party delegates, who, on Saturday, Octoer
6, 2018, elected Mr. Donald Duke as the SDP presidential candidate for the
February 16, 2019 presidential election, in line with our party's constitution
and the Electoral Act, 2010 (as amended).”
