Time To Make Rivers State An Industrial Hub, Tourist Destination – SDP Guber Aspirant

The time to go beyond political rhetoric and face the task to transforming Rivers State into an industrial hub and first choice tourist destination has come and the people of the state should brace up and take advantage of the 2019 governorship election to achieve this.

This was the position of an aspirant for the position of Rivers State Governor come 2019 on the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Larry Tamunotonye Allison when he declared his intention to contest for the position.  

Allison, who hails from Bonny Local Government Area, said he took the decision after deep thought, wide consultations and conviction that he owes God, the state and country the duty “to offer visionary leadership and to create opportunities for all our people”.

The accomplished Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certified, Hewlett Packard accredited integration specialist with over 20 years progressive experience in software development, declared that “My vision and mission, in availing myself to serve you, is to inculcate in Rivers people and other ethnic nationalities, including foreigners residing here, a sense of HOPE, COMMITMENT and DIGNITY towards a ONE RIVERS AGENDA and to reposition Rivers State as an INDUSTRIAL HUB and TOURIST DESTINATION”.
  
“In pursuing this vision we shall right the wrongs of the past and bring an end to the untold hardship and cries of our people, owing to lack of good governance that has afflicted our dear State since the inception of this democratic dispensation”.

He assured Rivers people that “Our collective victory in 2019 will usher in an era of shared prosperity, sustainable development, and self-reliance anchored on SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES, INFRASTRUCTURAL REVOLUTION and SECURITY”.

Allison hopes to win his rival, Precious Elekima during the SDP governorship primary slated for Monday, October 1, 2018 to emerge candidate of the party in the 2019 polls.

Bonny Island shuts down For Mina Pepple’s 50th Birthday
