BREAKING!!! Akpabio, 15 Senators Defect To APC, Might Emerge Senate President

It appears the dramatic defections that took place in the National Assembly last week has been effectively overturned as Senate Minority Leader and former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio is set to defect with at least 15 other senators from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Special Adviser to the President on Natioanl Assembly Matters, Senator Ita Enang, and leaders of the APC in Akwa Ibom State will receive him into the party’s fold on Thursday at Ikot Ekpene Stadium. 

There are already speculations that Akpabio might emerge the next Senate President sequel to his defection as the APC was working round the clock to oust Saraki from the position should he fail to do the needful by resigning his position.
