Matthew Seiyefa, Acting DG, DSS

Although his appointment as acting Director General came rather too sudden, Matthew Seiyefa has been a top brass in diverse areas of the Department of State Services (DSS), also known as the State Security Service (SSS) with over 34 years’ experience.

Matthew B. Seiyefa, MNI, was appointed the Acting DSS boss following the sack of erstwhile boss, Lawal Daura by the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo yesterday.

Seiyefa, MNI, who hails from Bayelsa State, was before his new appointment, the most senior director in the DSS - Assistant DG. He was also the Director, Institute of Security Studies, Abuja.

With about 34 years of experience, Seiyefa has served in different capacities, including as State Director of Security in Osun, Akwa Ibom, and Lagos States. Seiyefa is also a member of the National Institute of Security Studies, Abuja.
